When I think about being sent away as a child I thank god that I did not have to go through the pain of leaving my own country. I am eight years old.

Religious institutions have a lot to answer for! How can such cruel people pretend to believe in God and heaven. I hope they rot in hell (if there is one).

I particularly wanted to visit this exhibition. I was shocked to hear how child emigration continued into the 1960s. I hope this exhibition helps all those whose experience in their new country was unhappy will be able to go forward.

I feel sorry for the kids that had to leave their homes and families for war.
